Summer Fun

What a fun summer this has already been.  We have had some pretty hot days, but have been fortunate to have some cooler ones as well and the wind makes the nights by the pool really nice.  The first picture is the girls at a traveling petting zoo in a local park.  The next is one of each of them on the 4th of July. We had a good time on the 4th playing outside and hanging out around the pool - thanks to the cloud cover!  Taelyn loves sparklers and watching the fireworks.  Unfortunately, Brie didn't get to see the fireworks.  She had a long day and was fast asleep by 7pm!

Pool is done -come visit!

The pool is done and we have been enjoying it tremendously over the past week or two.  Taelyn fights us every time we tell her it is time to get out and it is amazing to see how quickly she is picking up new swimming skills. Brie enjoys it too, but not as much yet.  She like swim, but she is good after only about 15 mins.  Luckily for us, she likes to be outside and can't get into too much trouble in the backyard, especially if we give her a snack!

More Pool Pictures

Putting in a Pool

Pretty incredible to see this monster pool up on a crane being lifted over the tallest trees and even your house to get to a hole in the backyard!  I have uploaded the video of this wild feat.  We are pretty excited that the pool is getting installed this week.  We had originally been told it would be mid-July when we signed the deal back in April!  We got a call last Friday that they wanted to start Monday, so we were running around trying to get everything in place, when we thought we had another month.  Couldn't be happier and things are progressing smoothly.  By this time next week we will be swimming and enjoying the long, hot Texas summer!  Come for a visit and join us!

Fun with Friends and Water Table

You are silly, Taelyn!

Yummy Gummies
We had the pleasure of getting to spend time with Taelyn's best bud, Vincent.  Taelyn and Vincent met when they were around 6-8 months old and used to spend every other day together at the daycare.  When the daycare closed, we got a nanny and Vincent went to a new place.  Taelyn was sad.  Luckily, he lives just around the corner, so we get to see him often.  This time, his dad dropped him off to play without his big brother, so Taelyn got quality Vincent time.  They had fun playing with the water table and getting Brie soaking wet!
